Squinzi joins Marcegaglia team
Giorgio Squinzi, sole administrator of Mapei and chairman of Federchimica, has received yet another high-level appointment. He is joining the Presidential Committee of the Italian Employers’ Federation Confindustria and will work alongside chairman Emma Marcegaglia for the next two years as head of the Technical Committee for Europe. John Elkann, vice chairman of Fiat, will be responsible for the special project “Analysis and development opportunities in large emerging countries”. To complete the team, Salomone Gattegno and Luca Garavoglia have been appointed respectively to chair the Technical committee for safety and the Technical committee for taxation. Giuseppe Recchi, chairman of General Electric Italy and Southeast Europe, will also join the technical committees with a specific role for multinationals.
