Montolit: cutting-edge technology for small holes
Montolit (Cantello, province of Varese, Italy) has unveiled a new device that solves the problem of cutting small holes in a range of materials. The company has developed a dry-operation 85 mm diameter diamond minidisk capable of cutting very small (4x4 cm) rectangular holes in all kinds of ceramic tile, porcelain tile, marble and granite. The high degree of precision of these holes allows for the use of very small size hole covers and squared cuts. The characteristics of the 85 mm disk include the possibility of being used on any kind of angle grinder, ease of operation, superior surface finish and the speed of cutting due to the low thickness of the diamond strip. This new diamond disk (TCS85) from the Bistury series meets quality and safety standards EN13236 and OSA (Organization for the Safety of Abrasives).
