B.P. Elettronica acquires Sertam

B.P. Elettronica, an established manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment for the ceramic industry based in Spezzano (MO), signed a lease contract last October for the company Sertam srl, a historic company operating in the screen printing machinery sector and currently in receivership. The operation aims to safeguard Sertam’s expertise and jobs and to relaunch a company with which B.P. Elettronica has partnered with for more than 20 years by developing innovative technologies and supplying high-quality original spare parts (it has offered all parts for Sertam machines since 1989). As a result of its in-depth knowledge of Sertam’s technology, B.P. Elettronica is able to offer its services as a reliable partner in the provision of parts and technical support in Italy and abroad.

The company has also set itself ambitious restructuring goals. The first step will be to upgrade its mechanical and electronic technology, from flat and rotary screen printing machines through to digital, with a strong focus on the use of exclusively Italian-made components along with Japanese motors. At a commercial level, B.P. Elettronica aims to consolidate its presence in Europe and to achieve greater penetration of non-European markets, including North Africa, Iran and Southeast Asia. It is transferring all its activities from Spezzano to the Sertam site in Maranello and will unveil the new additions to its range at this year’s Tecnargilla in Rimini.
