Phased return to work and strict safety rules with full-scale operation to resume from April 20.
It is the first company to adopt this measure with dual serological and swab testing for about 2,200 employees.
The order issued on the evening of Friday 3 April by the Italian Ministry of Health and the Emilia Romagna Regional Government authorises companies to sell products in stock in Italy and abroad.
Giovanni Savorani, Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica, sounds the alarm: “We are extremely concerned because the decisions taken by the Italian government to prevent the spread of the virus are harming the competitiveness of the sector.”
The fair, which was originally scheduled from 26 to 29 May, will be held at a later date yet to be decided.
The first large batches will be produced by mid-April and donated to hospitals in Bergamo and Sassuolo.
The event will take place from 13th to 18th April 2021 and will include all the biennial exhibitions such as EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition, along with the already scheduled Euroluce
The Russian event will return in 2021, from March 30 to April 2, in Moscow.
