BMR's Red Gala Dinner

On 30 September, BMR welcomed leading ceramic industry professionals to its Red Gala Dinner held in the splendid setting of Villa Spalletti in San Donnino di Liguria, province of Reggio Emilia.

The company organised this special evening to thank its customers and employees who have helped make BMR a benchmark for end-of-line technology in the ceramic industry. Attended by more than 400 Italian and international guests, the event was both elegant and convivial and featured a variety of entertainments including a spectacular visual projection on the façade of Villa Spalletti (watch video).

In his welcoming remarks, BMR's chairman Paolo Sassi cited one of the cornerstones of his vision of company management. "We believe that strong personal values and honest relationships must be cultivated in the workplace with the same attention that we devote to the efficiency of our machines," he said. "We see this as the only way to forge that bond of trust that is needed to create and maintain lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships."

With its two factories in Scandiano (Reggio Emilia) and Schio (Vicenza), a total workforce of more than 100 people and sales branches in Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Brazil and Argentina, BMR has maintained double-digit growth in the last three years, including 25% growth in the first 8 months of 2015.

These outstanding figures reflect the company's strategy of placing Italian technology at the centre of its operations and developing solutions - such as the latest cutting, squaring and dry grinding systems - that maintain high production standards without using water and at the same time reduce machine management costs.

BMR's latest technology, called Top Squadra Dry, is of special interest. Developed from the original Squadra Dry, this 12 motor dry squaring machine is capable of working not just with monoporosa and double fired tiles but also with porcelain.

BMR estimates that by the end of the year it will have installed a total of 80 dry squaring machines worldwide, an exceptional figure that demonstrates the machine's high production capacity proven in all the most important international markets.
