Bongioanni notches up another success in central Africa
The project further strengthens Bongioanni’s position in the African market, where it has been achieving excellent results for years
The boom in the Senegalese construction sector and the growing trend to adopt more sustainable materials such as brick in place of concrete gave a local entrepreneur the idea of restarting a disused brick factory.
For the reopening of the plant, which will initially supply masonry materials for the construction of a number of university buildings, Bongioanni Macchine has supplied a Tecno 450 extruder suitable for automatic extrusion and shaping of wet clay.
Additionally, the moulds division of the Fossano, Italy-based company has supplied a series of Gamma Plus conical extruder dies together with cores and liners made of wear-resistant ceramic materials, while for the solar screen products requested by the architecture firm the choice fell on the Beta Plus extruder dies with anti-wear steel.
The project further strengthens Bongioanni’s position in the African market, where it has been operating successfully for years.
