Cleia acquires Ceric Technology

French engineering company Cleia, recently associated with Belgian firm Ceratec, has completed the acquisition of Ceric Technologies.

Finalised on 17 March, the operation will position Cleia as one of the top world suppliers of turnkey plants for the construction materials industry. The historic French brand Ceric will contribute to Cleia’s development by providing its expertise in the brick plant sector along with trademarks, patents, equipment, instruments and laboratories.

For its part, Cleia will guarantee Ceric’s continuity in terms of all service activities and all machines in the range, including dryers, kilns and kiln cars, automatic handling systems and industrial IT.

The operation also includes Pelerin, the Ceric subsidiary operating in the field of raw materials preparation plants, whose acquisition was finalised in partnership with BMI Groupe, a leading manufacturer of vacuum furnaces. Pelerin will also continue to offer its complete range of machines and spare parts for all wear components.

The synergies created by the acquisition will enable Cleia to expand its technological offerings in the domestic and international markets, where it has installed more than 600 plants worldwide and operates through branches across Europe and Maghreb.
