Expansion projects at Ladrillos Lark

Peruvian company Ladrillos Lark is projecting to double the capacity of its facility in Chiclayo. Work is scheduled to begin in 2021.

Peruvian company Ladrillos Lark has begun a feasibility study on its project to double the capacity of its facility in Chiclayo, a coastal town located in the Lambayeque region of northern Peru.

The investment, initially $8 million excluding the site purchase, reflects growth in local demand for building materials, particularly brick. Work is scheduled to begin in 2021 and will be completed by 2022. The decision was taken in view of the inadequacy of the existing structure, which is operating at 107% of its capacity.

Investment is at the heart of the corporate strategies of Ladrillos Lark, which invested $10 million in new technology in 2019.

The company produces 1,500 tons of bricks per day at its Lima plant and 400 tons per day at Lambayeque (+8% in the first half of 2019) and has a 22% share of the domestic market.
