Technology Design strengthens its position in Algeria with SO.MA.CO.B

Last February, the Verona-based company Technology Design won a major contract promoted by the Algerian government for the remodelling of the Seddouk brick factory located in the Bejaja region and owned by the SO.MA.CO.B group.

The project covers complete remodelling of the plant and therefore all production departments with the aim of achieving high-performance and fully automated production through the installation of latest-generation machinery and equipment. As a result, the factory's output capacity will increase from the current 60,000 tons per year to 100,000 tons per year of B8 and B12 hollow bricks while guaranteeing high finished product quality. The project will be carried through during 2015.

This order, the latest in Algeria, further strengthens Technology Design's presence in the strategic North African market, where it will be taking part in the exhibition Batimatec 2015 (Algiers, 3-7 May) with its own stand in hall A.

The Italian company has begun 2015 with an expansion programme. To complete the orders received at the end of 2014 and to strengthen its commercial presence in new world markets, it has taken on new technical, sales and administrative staff and has doubled the floor space of its facility. During 2015 Technology Design will also be taking part in the 44th Encontro Nacional in Porto Alegre, Brazil from 16 to 19 September and in Ceramitec in Munich in October.
