Cevisama 2021 is cancelled

The ongoing impact of the pandemic has forced the organisers of the Spanish fair to cancel the event, which will be rescheduled from 7 to 11 February 2022

The organisers of Cevisama in Valencia have finally had to accept that the ongoing effects of the pandemic will make it impossible to guarantee the necessary presence of international visitors and consequent business opportunities for exhibitors. Meeting on 20 January, the organising committee of the international exhibition of ceramic tile, bathroom furnishings and natural stone announced the cancellation of the 2021 show, which had already been moved to 24 May. The event has now been rescheduled for 7-11 February 2022.

The trade associations represented on the committee spoke for the majority of their member companies in arguing that the ongoing health crisis would jeopardise the success of Cevisama 2021, given the restrictions on mobility that would prevent many international buyers from participating.

“The global pandemic is continuing to spread at an alarming pace. So although we were already working hard on the May event, we have no choice but to cancel it,” confirmed Carmen Álvarez, director of Cevisama. “It was a difficult but necessary decision because it would have been impossible to guarantee our exhibitors an adequate return on their investment given the reduced opportunities for doing business,” added Cevisama’s chairman Manuel Rubert.
