Fair Report of the 23rd CeramBath

Foshan, China - The 23rd China International Ceramic & Bathroom Fair, Foshan (CeramBath) came to a successful end on April 22th, 2014, says its organizer. This edition of fair had up to 731 exhibitors in three venues, namely China Ceramics City, China Ceramics Industry Headquarters, Foshan International Conference & Exhibition Center, attracting 77,000 visitors. Official data shows the number is up by 10.1% compared to the 22nd edition and 16.7% up than those of 21st edition same time last year.

About the Exhibitor

The 23rd CeramBath· Foshan gathered 731 exhibitors, mainly from China. Moreover, Portobello, Brazil's biggest tile producer made its first appearance in CeramBath, together with the other oversea exhibitors, including DAUGRES Ceramiche and Sant' Agostino from Italy, Switzerland's Niro Ceramics, Techsize and Maidrid Ceramics from Spain. It is a breakthrough of international exhibitors, reflecting the greater connection between CeramBath and the world.

About the Visitor

In this edition, international buyers accounted for 13%, reaching 10,150, up 20.3% than those of the 21st edition, and 39.9% up than those of the 22nd edition. As regards professional buyers, distributors, designers and real estate developer make up over 25% of the total, with the number of 20250, increasing 2.4% than those of the 21st edition and 13.6% than those of 22nd edition.

About the Exhibit

In the 23rd CeramBath, stone tiles and wood tiles are still expanding the market, while micro crystal tiles, polished glazed tiles and thin tiles are cooling down a little. Besides, background tiles and mosaics are getting more and more popular for their individuality.

Since the release in the 22nd CeramBath, cement tiles are getting hot and have been showed out by over 20 enterprises in this session. Among many matt cement tiles, polished cement tiles receive good response from Korean buyers. Benefitting from the improvement of inkjet technology, stone tiles and wood tiles become better in both texture and craft. Some exhibitors showed the excellent effect of stone tiles and wood tiles in overall space by Mashup. The better texture effect and physical property would win the market.

Micro crystal tiles and polished glazed tiles are less popular compared with previous sessions. Only a few exhibitors take them as main products. With the perfection of inkjet technology, the design gets richer, while price more reasonable. Meanwhile, the green thin tiles are relatively less shown, owing to technology requirement, consumer recognition and professional paving requirement. Its future development has yet to be built by cooperation of more enterprises.
