GreenTech to debut at Tecnargilla 2018

Tecnargilla 2018 (Rimini, 24-28 September), the world’s most important exhibition of supplies to the ceramic and brick industries, is expanding its show format with the opening of a new exhibition section.

Alongside the well-established sections ClaytechKromatech and T-White, this year’s event will also see the debut of GreenTech, the new showcase devoted to technologies and products capable of reducing consumption and emissions while improving the performance and profitability of the production process. The first of several new initiatives planned for the 2018 edition of the show, GreenTech caters for the ceramic industry’s growing interest in increasingly high-performance solutions in terms of energy efficiency, reduced emissions, recycling of industrial waste and water savings as part of the circular economy concept promoted by new European regulations.

The important results achieved in recent years reflect the growing attention devoted to these issues, with technology now capable of drastically reducing water consumption in production processes and the quantities of cardboard used for packaging. Moreover, increasingly sophisticated cogeneration systems along with solutions for treating fumes and recovering heat generated by kilns and dryers are bringing significant advantages in terms of cost, competitiveness and the environment.

The GreenTech section will showcase the main technological innovations in the field of sustainability and will give plenty of coverage to energy certification, companies’ obligations in terms of auditing and monitoring, financing opportunities and incentives. A series of conferences will explore the various aspects of raw materials recycling, take stock of the current situation and discuss ideas, projects and developments for the future.

This new section further expands Tecnargilla’s range of offerings, enabling the show to provide practical and effective solutions for all ceramic industry professionals.
