Tecnargilla undergoes restyling and focuses on beauty

23/04/2018

This year’s Tecnargilla, to be held from 24 to 28 September 2018 in the Rimini exhibition centre, will see a number of major changes.

Organised by IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) and Acimac, the world’s most important exhibition of supplies to the ceramic and brick industries has decided to reorganise its layout to give greater visibility to certain product sectors and to make it easier for professional buyers to navigate their way around the show.

Beauty in ceramics will take centre stage at the satellite show Kromatech catering for glaze and colour producers, design firms and raw materials suppliers, which will be relocated to halls C1 and C2 at the centre of the exhibition centre close to the Ceramic Workshop area. The Ceramic Workshop will host the exhibition on new trends in materials and colour, the Tecnargilla Design Award and the educational area organised by IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). This new and more central location within the exhibition centre reflects the importance of the role of design and decoration in the market and the close links between technology and aesthetics.

Tecnargilla 2018 will focus in particular on all processes capable of improving the aesthetics of ceramic products. Finishing technologies, which are playing an increasingly important role in enhancing the added value of ceramic tiles, will be hosted in the new T-Finishing section in halls B3, B5 and D5.

Hall A3 will host Greentech, the new section devoted to green technologies and products capable of reducing consumption and emission levels while improving the performance and profitability of the production cycle. It will accommodate both longstanding exhibitors and new companies interested in offering their innovative eco-friendly solutions to international buyers in the ceramic and brick industries.

But Tecnargilla is far more than just tiles. The exhibition covers a wide range of ceramic technologies including the solutions showcased in the Claytech and T-White sections devoted respectively to brick and sanitaryware production technologies. These sections will be hosted in halls A5-C5 and interconnected via the transit hall where some of the leading companies in the two sectors will be located. Claytech will also feature a special Greentech section devoted to brick and roof tile manufacturers.

Tecnargilla 2018 will also make use of the specially extended connecting halls designed to facilitate the distribution of companies in the halls and to ensure more fluid visitor flows.

Alongside the new layout, this year’s show is also introducing restyled logos for all the thematic sections. The pair of bent roof tiles featured in the Tecnargilla logo now frame the initials of all the exhibition sections and a specific colour is used to identify the logo of each section.

The Kromatech logo will feature a colour gradient to indicate the event’s focus on aesthetics, while Claytech will be identified by an orange colour reflecting the typical shades of bricks and roof tiles. White will be used for the T-White section and green for Greentech. T-Finishing will maintain the traditional colours of Tecnargilla to highlight the strong links with the other technologies on display.
