The countdown to Batimat Russia 2016 begins

Batimat Russia 2016, the largest Russian construction and interior design exhibition, will open its doors on Tuesday 5 April in Moscow. Around 70,000 visitors consisting of manufacturers, distributors, dealers, architects, designer and builders from throughout Russia and the CIS countries are expected to converge on the modern Crocus Expo IEC exhibition centre.

There will be 400 exhibitors, including almost 150 international companies, who will be displaying floor and wall coverings and installation materials, interior finishings, bathroom furniture, design accessories, and machinery and equipment for building and for the ceramic industry.

Halls 7 and 8 devoted to ceramic tiles will host the leading Russian ceramic companies along with the Ceramics of Italy area coordinated by Confindustria Ceramica with around thirty Italian tile companies and brands and the Tile of Spain collective with about thirty Spanish tile producers. Other exhibitors will come from Belarus, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Portugal and Ukraine.

Italy will certainly be the best represented foreign country. Along with the tile producers, Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers will also take centre stage in the Technoceramica section devoted to ceramic machinery (hall 6). A total of 23 Italian companies will be taking part, coordinated by Acimac. This year’s participants are Air Power, BMR, CMF, Colorobbia, Esmalglass Italia, ICF & Welko, Inco, Lamberti, LB, Luna Abrasivi, Manfredini & Schianchi, Martinelli Group, Mectiles Italia, Sacmi, Setec, Sicer, Smaltochimica, Surfaces Technological Abrasives, System, Tecnoferrari, Tecnema, Tecno Diamant and Tyrolit Vincent.

For the first time ever the Moscow International Furniture Show (MIFS) will be hosted simultaneously with Batimat Russia in the Crocus Expo exhibition centre, giving visitors the opportunity to coordinate construction materials with a choice of furnishings and interior design.

The exhibition will feature a packed business programme, including the Retail Strategy Forum devoted to new trends in the Russian DIY market. Other events will include roundtable discussions on new construction regulations organised by the Russian Union of Builders, workshops organised by the Passive House Institute and seminars on new trends in interior design led by architects and designers.

The programme also includes the award presentation for the three competitions organised by the show: Real Interior, Batimat Inside and Innovation. All submitted projects will be on display in dedicated exhibitions in Halls 1, 5 and 6.

Admission to the show is free of charge, upon registration.
