Almost 50 BMR dry squaring machines are already in operation worldwide

BMR (Scandiano, Reggio Emilia) has closed the first half of 2015 with positive results in line with the strong performance of 2014.

The results in the monoporosa and porcelain tile dry squaring segment have been especially good. Since the initial launches of Squadra Dry in 2012 and Top Squadra Dry at Tecnargilla 2014, almost 50 machines have already been sold in Italy and abroad, many of which are already in operation. This strong performance further confirms the high production capacity already proven in all the main international markets, especially in Europe and the Americas.

Officially presented at Tecnargilla 2012, Squadra Dry was the first machine for dry squaring of monoporosa and double fired tiles. Made in Italy to high construction standards, it delivers the same level of performance as wet squaring machines. This marked an important breakthrough for the ceramic tile sector because the use of diamond tools without water cooling eliminated water consumption and brought significant cost savings.

The dry squaring machine does not require foundations or devices for drying tiles. Furthermore, the longer lifetime compared to the wet version, the lower consumption of spare parts and the possibility of recycling the removed material are all factors that allow for further management savings while delivering the same quality standards.

Top Squadra Dry, designed for porcelain surfaces, brings similar advantages. As in the case of monoporosa, the dry grinding process for porcelain involves pulverising the removed material and uses dedicated tools and 12 calibrators.
