Ancora posts 25% growth in 2016

Ancora, a leading producer of complete lines for ceramic tile finishing and a member of SITI B&T Group since 2015, has closed fiscal 2016 with double-digit growth.

The Sassuolo-based company’s turnover grew by 25% with an export share of more than 70%, a strong performance that is set to continue thanks to the top-level technological innovations launched onto the market and the company’s outstanding expertise in the finishing of large-size ceramic tiles and panels.

“Many ceramic companies are currently designing or building plants for large size tiles,” commented Franco Ponsone, managing director of Ancora. “This is a field in which we have specific expertise and can deliver highly competitive solutions. In general, the finishing market is expanding and our customers need to improve the quality of their products in order to compete effectively at an international level.”

A number of innovative solutions have contributed to Ancora’s exceptional results. These include the PoliDry dry honing machine unveiled at Tecnargilla 2016 and the multiple waterjet cutting machine, a patented solution that is ideal for large size panels and for years has been achieving excellent results in the domestic and international markets. Solutions for dry squaring include Speed Dry, already a big market success with more than 50 machines commissioned in 2016, and the score-and-snap cutting machines which are currently undergoing major improvements. Further important aspects include customer service, an area in which the company will soon be making additional investments, and the internal production of strategic technological components for more sophisticated control systems aimed at guaranteeing higher plant quality and shorter delivery times.

“We must pursue the challenge of constant innovation in our day-to-day work,” added Franco Ponsone. “We will continue to introduce new features and further optimise our product range with the aim of maintaining last year’s growth through 2017.”
