Andrea Formica is the new general manager of Cefla

In January this year Andrea Formica was appointed the new managing director of Cefla (Imola). He was selected by the Board of Directors following a careful evaluation of a field of highly international candidates.

Born in 1961, Formica has a degree in Economics from the University of Siena and a Master in Business Administration from the Bocconi University in Milan. He gained professional experience in the automotive sector, where he held important international positions and in 1999, at the age of 38, was appointed president and CEO of Ford Italia. He subsequently held the position of senior vice president at Toyota Motor Europe in Brussels and then joined FCA as CEO of Fiat Automobiles Spa and head of sales for all group brands. He is currently an independent member of the Board of Directors of Piaggio Group.

Formica will lead a highly complex organisation. Founded in 1932 as a cooperative, Cefla today has around 2,000 employees at 26 locations worldwide, 5 business units (Cefla Impianti, Cefla Shopfitting, Cefla Finishing, Cefla Medical Equipment and C-LED) and a turnover of 500 million euros.

In accordance with Cefla’s vision, the newly appointed managing director will strive to create lasting value by focusing on sustainable medium and long-term strategies.
