bt-LOG, SITI BT Group's new logistics centre

bt-LOG is SITI BT Group’s new logistics centre, a facility built in Sassuolo to keep pace with the strong expansion and sales growth achieved by the group in recent years.

The centre, built on a disused former industrial site, extends over an area of 40,000 square metres (more than 70% under cover) and houses the offices used for managing the integrated logistics of all the group’s companies and branches worldwide. bt-LOG has an impressive capacity, consisting of 35,000 product codes, 21 automatic high-bay warehouses, 5,000 pallet spaces and 500 ground stations, and 2,500 containers handled per year.

As well as rationalising logistics costs, bt-LOG will also optimise goods handling operations prior to shipment, a move that will also bring environmental benefits. As CEO Fabrio Tarozzi explains, the investment strengthens the group’s presence in the Sassuolo ceramic cluster, improves customer service and allows production to be expanded at the headquarters in Formigine.

bt-LOG joins the Group’s other strategic hubs, all of which are located in the Sassuolo area: bt-SPACE, the venue devoted to communication between SITI BT and its stakeholders; bt-ROOM, the showroom of technologies and creativity; bt-LAB, the Technology Centre in Formigine housing all the technological innovations for tile and sanitaryware production.
