Grespania starts up plant for large-format panel production

Grespania has successfully started up a new line for the production of large-format 1200x3600 mm panels with thicknesses of between 3 and 12 mm.

The line was supplied by System and consists of a Gea press and powder loading system, panel sorting, handling and treatment systems, and a dryer and kiln from I.C.F. & Welko.

These machines (a 3 metre five-channel dryer and a 160 metre single-channel kiln) have shown excellent results and guarantee the production of perfectly flat 3 mm thick panels.

In particular, they use convective heating technology in place of the now obsolete radiative heating due to its lower levels of consumption and cheaper and more environmentally-friendly operation.
