Italcer Group opens new production unit in Vetto

The new factory has a production capacity of 3.5 million sq.m/year and stands out for its flexibility, automation and sustainability.​

The Italcer Group’s new manufacturing facility located in the municipality of Vetto in the province of Reggio Emilia was officially opened on 20 January this year.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the town’s mayor Fabio Ruffini, the President of the province Giorgio Zanni, the Group’s CEO Graziano Verdi and the entire management of Italcer and Ceramica Rondine. Built in record time, the new facility hosts two production lines which will have a capacity of 3.5 million sq.m/year.

The equipment is designed to ensure the maximum flexibility in terms of product range and sizes and will be used to produce large strips up to 160 cm in length. The finished product handling operations are also automated.

The investment included the purchase of the building and roof refurbishment (including the removal and disposal of asbestos) in keeping with the group’s environmental commitment and programmes.
