LB and Fondovalle at the Milan Design Week

The “Golden Castle” installation exhibited in the University of Milan’s main courtyard during the Milan Design Week 2018, the top international event for the worlds of design and architecture, attracted enormous interest amongst visitors.

The work, a high-strength interpretation of a classic “house of cards”, is made from My Top 163x324 cm porcelain slabs in a 2 cm thickness produced by Ceramica Fondovalle using innovative technology from LB.

The two companies exploited their respective technical expertise to create the exhibit, which shows off not just the surface aesthetics of the slabs but also the through-body vein effect visible on the edges, the truly innovative feature of 2018.
