Minerali Industriali secures lease for Manfredini & Schianchi

The procedure for the lease of Manfredini & Schianchi was concluded on 23 July with the signing of an agreement by Green Tech Engineering, a subsidiary of Minerali Industriali Engineering.

The procedure for the lease of the Sassuolo-based company Manfredini & Schianchi, declared bankrupt by the Court of Modena on 17 June, was successfully concluded on 23 July. The lease agreement for the company (which also includes the subsidiary Manfredini & Schianchi Green Tech) was signed by Green Tech Engineering S.r.l., an Italian company controlled by Minerali Industriali Engineering S.r.l., in turn part of the Minerali Industriali Group of Novara.

With an annual production of 3.5 million tons, 21 deposits, 27 production units (12 in Italy, 4 in Europe, 1 in Asia, 3 in North Africa and 7 in Central and South America) and 620 employees worldwide, Gruppo Minerali Industriali is one of the leading international producers and distributors of raw materials. In 2020, the group succeeded in increasing both its consolidated turnover (132 million euros, +5% on 2019) and EBITDA (17.3 million euros, +8%).

To guarantee the highest quality standards for its customers, Minerali Industriali develops the most innovative technologies and industrial processes for its core business in-house. This activity is greatly valued by the market and has led the group to set up Minerali Industriali Engineering, a company that designs, builds and sells plants for the treatment of hard raw materials not just to the parent company but also to other businesses operating in the raw materials processing sector. This led to the decision to secure lease agreements for Manfredini & Schianchi and Manfredini & Schianchi Green Tech through the newly formed company Green Tech Engineering. The group’s aim is to strengthen and expand its engineering division’s commercial offerings in new market areas – particularly in the ceramic industry – by leveraging the expertise developed by M&S in almost 60 years of experience in the field of soft raw material processing plants.

At a time when the market is seeing substantial growth in industrial consumption levels, companies are increasingly looking at ways of modernising their facilities to meet today’s needs, particularly energy saving and production efficiency,  says Marco Bargioni, CEO of Green Tech Engineering. To be competitive, it is not sufficient to have advanced technology, you need a wide range of products and skills in order to offer a turnkey package tailored to the needs of end users.
