Neolith will install its fifth production line
The new line will be supplied by System Ceramics as the previous ones, and will be equipped with ground-breaking solutions to manufacture a range of innovative ceramic slabs
After a new record year in 2020 (with revenues of 124 million euros and EBITDA of 39 million euros), the Spanish Neolith Group expects a double-digit growth again in 2021 and, following the return to near-normality, it has resumed its expansion project which had been delayed for several months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Being one of the world’s best-known players in the segment of large ceramic slabs, the Almazora-based company - founded in 2009 by Jesús Esteve and sold in September 2019 to the Italian investment fund Investindustrial – announced the upcoming arrival of its fifth line, again supplied by System Ceramics, as the previous four.
“Right now, our global business plan is working well, and we need to continue increasing our industrial capacity and optimizing flexibility in our production footprint”, explains the CEO José Luis Ramón. “We understand that our global expansion plan needs to be synchronized with strong industrial investment”.
The new production line, which is expected to start up in early 2022, will be equipped with ground-breaking solutions that will enable Neolith to manufacture a range of innovative products that will complement the already extensive portfolio. “These will include the new slabs with full-body veining – says Ramón -, a revolutionary process that the industry has been attempting to master ever since these materials were first developed. At last we have succeeded in achieving a vein that runs through the entire thickness of the slab and is so realistic that it represents a real game-changer for the sector”.
In the last year and a half, Neolith has been engaged in an ongoing development process, that has involved the organisational structure, the product development and the global expansion plan to increase the presence in many important markets, including North America, Europe, China and Australia.
