Poppi Clementino Spa celebrates 30 years of business

Founded in 1986 by the two partners Clementino Poppi and Domenico Gualtieri (later joined by their sons Carlo Alberto and Paolo), this year Poppi Clementino Spa celebrates 30 years of business in the field of energy recovery and environmental purification systems. A special logo has been created to mark the anniversary, which will be celebrated at Tecnargilla where the Reggio Emilia-based company will be present with a new stand.

The company has seen steady growth over the last decade, doubling its staff - mainly technical personnel - and establishing solid partnerships with the world’s leading ceramics manufacturers. After originally operating in the Italian market, it extended its presence to Spain and other European countries and eventually consolidated its activities in non-European markets, especially Asia. Today more than 80% of its revenues are generated by exports.

In Southeast Asia, Poppi Clementino has supplied around 20 energy recovery plants to Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia in recent years. The assurance of high energy performance has been verified by customers, strengthening their trust in the company and leading to ever closer working relationships. The proposed technology is capable of reducing the energy consumption of dryers and spray dryers by between 25% and 35%, bringing significant benefits in terms of production costs and the environment.

The competitive strength of Poppi Clementino lies in its ability not only to adapt its technologies to increasingly stringent environmental standards but also to customise each individual project, which is developed and designed according to the user’s specific needs. To further strengthen its presence in Asia, the company is setting up a series of facilities aimed at guaranteeing more rapid technical and sales support for the local ceramic industry.
