Porcelanite-Lamosa strengthens its partnership with System
Porcelanite-Lamosa, the largest ceramic tile producer in Mexico and the fourth largest worldwide, has adopted the latest innovation unveiled by System at Tecnargilla - the Multigecko sorter - to upgrade the end-of-line department at its production facilities.
Four machines have been installed and are already operational, reducing the occupied floor space and noise levels by one third with respect to the standard. At the facility in San José Iturbide, the Easy sorting line was supplied with the new Multigecko sorter and completed with an FV08 packaging system and a portal palletiser capable of handling sizes up to 1000x2000 mm. The two lines installed in San Luis Potosí and the one in Benito Juárez handle products up to 600x600 mm in size with a new configuration consisting of an FV08 EVO sorting line with Multigecko sorter and Falcon palletiser.
In addition to the end-of-line system, Porcelanite-Lamosa has also renewed its high-definition digital decoration systems. Impressed by the benefits obtained from the first Creadigit unit adopted a few months ago at the facility in Tlaxcala (absence of banding and printing defects, high ink jetting precision, ruggedness and autonomy of the machine and ease of cleaning), the company has now purchased four new machines for its facility in San Luis Potosí. Alongside the printers, it has also adopted the System/Tosilab standard for colour profiling software and colour management tools, as well as the Tile Detector which verifies textured surfaces and sends the information on the textures to be decorated to Creadigit.
These new orders, supported by the System Norte America branch based in Santa Catarina, further strengthen the longstanding partnership between System and Porcelanite-Lamosa and confirm the Mexican company's intention to invest in technologies that combine high production efficiency and lower energy consumption with outstanding product quality.
