Cooperation continues between RAK Ceramics and Sacmi Group

The new robotized glazing island supplied by Sacmi to RAK Group has been successfully started up and put into operation in the space of just one month. The new installation is part of a programme to expand and optimise the sanitaryware manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates.

The new glazing island is the seventh installed by Sacmi at this production site. The speed of start-up was largely due to the ease of assembly and programming of the Gaiotto robot, to which the programmes previously used on existing robots were successfully transferred.

The new glazing line has an output of about 800 pcs/day. It consists of a 4-station turret controlled by an 8-axis GA2000 Gaiotto Robot incorporating an integrated glaze delivery control system that allows spraying parameters (glaze delivery rate, spray aperture, etc.) to be customised for the various models using the joystick.
