New building projects in Budapest

The Hungarian construction industry is enjoying a very dynamic period, centred largely on the city of Budapest.

In particular, a new smart neighbourhood to the north of the capital is being planned in what will be the most important private investment of the next few years. The project will involve the construction of offices, commercial units, apartments, hotels and various service buildings from the last quarter of 2018 onwards.

At the same time an urban redevelopment project has been announced for the island of Csepel, the 21st district of the Hungarian capital, where 11 residential complexes, public buildings and green areas will be renovated. The district has received 1.7 billion forints (5.5 million euros) of European funding through the Competitive Central Hungary Operative Programme (VEKOP).
