Keos: sanitaryware dryer with low height

Keos has developed a sanitaryware dryer that has been completely redesigned with low height.
The project optimises assembly operations, the modular length- and height-wise construction allowing for a significant reduction in set-up times.
The position of the hot air generator, the precision of the control systems and the thermal insulation of the air ducts also guarantee the low energy consumption typical of Keos dryers.
Temperature and humidity uniformity is guaranteed by the optimisation of the fume extraction position and of the mixing fans, which had been penalised by the low height of the dryer. This way the length of the drying cycle falls within the standard parameters typical of Keos dryers and a very low piece rejection rate is guaranteed.
Drying cycle management
The use of PLC management further helps customers: in cycle management, with particular attention to alarms and variations in humidity and temperature values; in memorising different recording cycles; in memorising cycles on the company computer network. The state of operation of the dryer can also be controlled remotely via the internet.

The results of the project can be summed up by the following figures:

Assembly time     14 working days
Drying cycles     from 6 hours upward depending on the pieces dried
Average energy consumption  940 kcal/kg of dried product
Piece rejection      less than 0.5% on most difficult pieces
